Flat-glass window schedule for intake and field verification.

Use this worksheet to organize room and panel context without treating customer-supplied dimensions as final measurements. The verification column is the control that keeps an early estimate from becoming an installer assumption.

Source key

Mark the origin of each important detail:

  • C: Customer supplied
  • S: Staff observed remotely from photos or video
  • F: Staff field measured or verified on site
  • D: Derived or calculated from verified inputs

The source does not determine whether information is correct. It tells the next person how much verification may still be required.

Panel detail checklist

For panels that require additional review, record:

  • Frame and gasket condition
  • Existing film or coating
  • Glass type or markings
  • Edge access
  • Mullions or divided sections
  • Interior and exterior access
  • Ladder, lift, scaffold, or furniture movement
  • Height and fall-protection considerations
  • Obstructions, treatments, decals, or sensors
  • Heat, glare, privacy, safety, or decorative objective
  • Photo labels matching the schedule ID
  • Who must approve the final film or appearance

Do not infer glass compatibility or installation method from a photo alone when safety, warranty, or specification depends on it.

Release-to-install check

Before the schedule becomes installer scope, confirm:

  • Every included panel has an ID that matches its photos or plan reference.
  • Units are explicit and consistent.
  • Quantity and dimensions have the required verification level.
  • Film and glass compatibility were reviewed by the responsible professional.
  • Access, equipment, preparation, and removal are represented in the scope.
  • The proposal matches the current included panels.
  • Changes after proposal approval have their own customer approval.
  • Installers can identify the current version without comparing message threads.

WORKING-DOCUMENT RULE

Write the worksheet’s current status on every exported or printed copy. “Rough intake,” “staff reviewed,” and “released to install” must not look interchangeable.

Questions shops ask

Can a customer complete this worksheet remotely?
A customer can provide rough dimensions, labels, and photos for intake. Staff should mark the source and verify any information that affects film specification, final quantity, price, safety, or installation before treating it as final scope.
Should every pane have its own row?
Use one row when identical panes share the same room, dimensions, glazing, film, access, and verification state. Split rows when any of those details differ or when installers need a distinct label.
